the story behind
Hi, I’m Simon
and I’ve always made the bows I felt like making.
And for Now I feel like making bows of glass.
Over many years
– under the brand of selfbow.ch –
I’ve built my bows from natural material.
I’ve built almost every kind of bow, tried everything. Made almost 300 of them.
Each of them unique and one of a kind. Each of them a great teacher.
because I like the variety in my work I will not stop making these - I just make them all now: Selfbows, Backed Bows, Horn-Wood- Composites, Horn-Sinew-Wood-Composites.
And Now all this know-how will be available in glass also.
However: My bows remain my bows: simple and classic, narrow, deep and a little different.
always perfectly tillered.
Now I have designed and machined all the new forms
cut all the laminates.
Built the Home of Glassdust (-;
Set up a new homepage
Built the Prototypes
Cleared my workbench and looking forward to build.
